For many people, DIY is an enjoyable hobby and, no doubt, any DIY enthusiast has a vast selection of tools in their kit to choose from.  But what about those who are not so keen? Well, any homeowner will still benefit greatly by owning at least a small selection of tools.  Here’s why:

The fact is that even the simplest jobs around the house need the right tools in order to do the job well.  Think about what you need to hang a picture or a shelf for example, you would want to measure the area with a tape measure, then you will need a hammer to knock the nail in and finally you will want to make sure its completely straight which would require a level.  That’s 3 tools right there, for one job.  What else might you need in your tool kit?

A plunger is a very handy tool to own as sinks and toilets can very easily get blocked up.  These blockages can very often be cleared using this simple tool.

Here is a short list of other useful items to keep in your tool kit:

Screw driver set

Wrench set

Duct tape

Flashlight

Safety equipment such as: Breathing mask, gloves and safety glasses

Although there are many more tools that you will find useful to have at home, these are just some of the helpful tools to get you started.  Any homeowner will benefit from being prepared for even the simplest of jobs.
